Όσοι κουκλοπαίκτες ενδιαφέρονται από την Ελλάδα ή το εξωτερικό να συμμετάσχουν στο 4ο Φεστιβάλ Κουκλοθέατρου Καλαμάτας (10-17 Μάη 2020) να συμπληρώσουν την παρακάτω φόρμα ερωτήσεων,μέχρι τις 31 Ιανουαρίου 2020.

Έτσι θα διευκολύνετε την έγκαιρη και ολοκληρωμένη διοργάνωση του Φεστιβάλ.

Πρακτικά Τελευταίας Συνέλευσης - Νέα Γενική Συνέλευση 1/12, 8μμ

Στις 10 Νοέμβρη είχαμε την πρώτη μας Γενική Συνέλευση, για τη φετινή σεζόν, που ήταν μάλιστα και ιδιαίτερα μαζική! :)

Πέρα από κάποια πρακτικά ζητήματα που συζητήσαμε στη αρχή της κουβέντας, επικεντρωθήκαμε στην Παγκόσμια Ημέρα Κουκλοθεάτρου για το 2020.

Είχαμε ενημέρωση από τους κουκλοπαίχτες της Βόρειας Ελλάδας, που ήδη έχουν ξεκινήσει να οργανώνουν την Ημέρα, και περιμένουν την τελική απάντηση για έναν πολύ όμορφο χώρο για την Κυριακή 22 του Μάρτη. Με τη λογική να στηρίξουμε όσες περισσότερες Παγκόσμιες Ημέρες γίνουν φέτος σε όλη την Ελλάδα, αποφασίσαμε η Παγκόσμια Ημέρα στην Αθήνα να γιορταστεί το επόμενο Σ/Κ, δηλαδή 28-29 Μαρτίου.

Έχουν γίνει προτάσεις για να είναι η γιορτή διήμερη, με έκθεση, προβολές και εργαστήρι ενηλίκων, και σε γενικές γραμμές να είναι πιο μεγάλη σε σχέση με τα τελευταία χρόνια, μιας και κλείνουμε τα 30 χρόνια φέτος! Μια ομάδα ατόμων ανέλαβε να αναζητήσει χώρους στο κέντρο της Αθήνας που θα μπορούσανε να φιλοξενήσουν τη γιορτή μας.

Τέλος, αποφασίσαμε να συναντηθούμε σύντομα για να μάθουμε τα νέα για τους χώρους και να ξεκινήσουμε να οργανωνόμαστε. Σας περιμένουμε, λοιπόν, στην επόμενη Γενική Συνέλευση, την Κυριακή 1 Δεκέμβρη, και ώρα 8μμ στο εργαστήριο της ομάδας Fortunati, Μεγίστης 26, στην Κυψέλη.

Φέρτε τις ιδέες, το μεράκι σας και την φρεσκάδα σας να τα ανακατώσουμε όλα μαζί να φτιάξουμε μια μεγάλη γιορτή! 

Θα σας δούμε όλες και όλους εκεί!  

Γενική Συνέλευση

Την Κυριακή 10 Νοέμβρη, ώρα 6.30 μμ θα συναντηθούμε στο εργαστήριο Ayusaya, Παλαμηδίου 41, για τη Γενική μας Συνέλευση.

Τα θέματα που θα συζητήσουμε είναι η πανελλαδική δράση της Unima, μιας και
συμφωνα με απόφαση της Συνέλευσης του Ιουνίου η συγκεκριμένη συνέλευση έχει
οριστεί από νωρίς για να παρεβρίσκονται όσο το δυνατόν περισσότερα
μέλη από την επαρχία.
Επίσης, θα συζητήσουμε για τον εορτασμό της Παγκόσμιας Ημέρας Κουκλοθεάτρου
2020, και τις ημερομηνίες που θα διεξαχθεί ανά πόλη. Φέτος κλείνουμε 30
χρόνια, οπότε φανταζόμαστε ήδη μια μεγάλη γιορτή που απαιτεί καλό
σχεδιασμό!!
Τέλος, θα συζητηθούν και οποια άλλα θέματα μπορεί να αφορούν τον καθένα και
την καθεμία από μας, και θέλουμε να φέρουμε στη Συνέλευση.

4 Creations 4 continents – PUPPETt.NET network: “When youth reinvents heritage”. December 9-21 in Amiens, France.


PUPPETt.NET is an European network  dedicated to the issues of transmission and training of young artists in Europe. It is also an approach to networking and professionalizing  in the field of puppetry for young people with a wide range of backgrounds  (self-taught, professionalizing students, public mediators, etc.) . PUPPETt.NET’s partners are the Tas de Sable – Ches Panses Vertes (Amiens, France), UNIMA and its Europe Commission (Charleville-Mézières, France), THE TOPIC (Tolosa, Spain), SYNKOINO (Veria, Greece) and the Festival of Göttingen PuppetTheatre (Germany). It is supported by Amiens Metropole and the Ministry of Culture (France – DGCA’s Office for European and International Action).

PUPPETt.NET aims to bring together young European professionals around:

• A cycle of training on traditional techniques (2018-2019)
• An artistic creation that is an integral part of the process, with creative residencies with our partners in France, Germany, Greece and Spain and which will be presented in Bali in April 2020 at the next UNIMA Congress (2019-2020)
• Time for exchanges and sharing experiences, foreshadowing the establishment of a European network of training and companionship 

PUPPETt.Net is closely linked to the actions organized by UNIMA as par of its 90th anniversary celebrations, around youth and heritage: 4 creations of a version adapted from Marcos Nicolaïewsky ser’s text are going to be presented by young puppeteers from Europe, America, Asia-Pacific and Africa at the Bali Congress in April 2020. It will be an exceptional opportunity to meet all the participants present at the Congress. 

Open Call for participation in European creation 

The European creation will be led by Sylvie Baillon, director of the Tas de Sables – Che Panses Vertes. In order to select the team of young Europeans who will present this creation in Bali, we are organising a laboratory residency from 9 to 21 December at the Tas de Sable in Amiens. It will be conducted as follows:

• Monday, December 9 to Saturday, December 14, 2019: workshop “From dramaturgy to puppet or object staging”, directed by Sylvie Baillon  – 15 participants 

At first on the same text the participants will make sketches of staging according to a point of view. The spoken word remains on the set or not? What are the questions for a coherent whole?    We will also organise visits to the Théâtre de Ches  Cabotans  (tradition in Amiens) the circus and the Cathedral of Amiens.

At the end of this week 8 people will be invited to continue the laboratory residency.

• Monday, December 16 to Saturday, December 21, 2019: Work begins on Marcos  Nicolaïewsky’s text Customs: different explorations, sound work, constructions, rehearsals, light work. 

At the end of this second week of laboratory, a team of 4 people including different skills of the puppeteer (construction, interpretation, light and sound technique, assistant to the staging) will be selected to continue the European creation Customs   in April 2020 at the UNIMA Congress in Bali.

In addition to selecting the participants of the 4 creations 4 continents project, the objectives of these two weeks are:

• Training by confronting cultural practices and approaches around traditional techniques and their professional exploitation.
• Work collaboratively on tools to highlight the particularity of these means of writing on the board.
• Contribute to a common framework that highlights the specificity of the puppeteer’s profession, practices and know-how

Cost of participation: the workshop is free. The lunches are taken care of by the Tas de Sable.

Others on-site expenses are borne by participants during the first week.

For the participants invited to stay during the second week, meals and accomodation are taken care of by the Tas de Sable – Che Panses Vertes.

For the team of 4 people selected to participate in the European creation, there will be 3 periods of creative residencies to be planned in Germany, Greece and Spain and one week in April for the Congress in Bali:

• March 4 to 10 : European Creative Residence 2, Veria,Greece,
• April 4 to 10 : European Creative Residence 3, Tolosa, Spain, TOPIC
• April 12 to 19: Creation at  the UNIMA Congress in Bali

The schedule is likely to be changed, it will be final at the laboratory residency in Amiens.

Open call to an International Workshop: ‘Fasoulis strikes back’ / Veria – Greece 

UNIMA launches a call for participation in the International Workshop “Fasoulis strikes back!” from 11th to 13th of october 2019, in Veria (Macedonia Central), Greece.

UNIMA – Union Internationale de la Marionnette, which will celebrate its 90th anniversary in 2019, was built on the strong intention to create a European bond: to go beyond borders in order to connect citizens, amateurs, artists and researchers around puppets. This anniversary is an opportunity for the oldest world theatre organization to turn towards new generations to examine puppetry’s heritage and to explore the ways this heritage can be invested, preserved, and shared.

Context

This course is part of the “Thesspuppet Festival 2019”.This workshops is also part of a European project. It’s a larger framework of 4 workshops, leading to a European production for 2020, and some collaborative intellectual outputs about puppetry art, traditional techniques and the professional issues. The selection of people for the European production will take place in Amiens (France) in December 2020. All participants who want to be part of the European production should have participated in two workshops: the one in Stuttgart and a previous one that was part of the project.

Tο εργαστήριο

  Χρησιμοποιώντας μικροσκοπικές βιντεοκάμερες μπορούμε να εξερευνήσουμε αντικείμενα και το χώρο καθώς ακόμη και να χρησιμοποιήσουμε το ανθρώπινο σώμα για να ανακαλύψουμε έναν νέο τύπο μικρο-κινηματογράφου (micro cinema). Συνδυάζοντας αυτές τις ανακαλύψεις με τις πιο παραδοσιακές μορφές παράστασης, μπορούμε να δημιουργήσουμε το 'Micro Cinema Theatre'.
  Κατά τη διάρκεια αυτού του πρακτικού εργαστηρίου θα δουλέψουμε χρησιμοποιώντας μια σειρά

από απλά αφηγηματικά σενάρια για δραματοποίηση. Θα αυτοσχεδιάσουμε και, κυρίως, θα βρούμε τρόπους να μοιράσουμε την βίντεο-οθόνη με τη ζωντανή παράσταση, πάνω στη σκηνή.
  Θα εξερευνήσουμε κρυφές κινήσεις και θα ξεκλειδώσουμε τις μικροσκοπικές λεπτομέρειες που χάνονται σε έναν θεατρικό χώρο. Θα παίξουμε με την κλίμακα, την εστίαση και το φως, θα διερευνήσουμε δισδιάστατους και τρισδιάστατου κόσμους και θα ανακαλύψουμε ποια υλικά και κινήσεις λειτουργούν καλύτερα για την ιστορία που προσπαθούμε να πούμε.
  ΔΕΝ θα χρησιμοποιήσουμε υπολογιστή. Θα
χρησιμοποιήσουμε προσιτές μεθόδους χαμηλής τεχνολογίας και ποτέ δεν θα αφήσουμε την τεχνολογία να κυριαρχήσει στη σκηνή.
  Οι συμμετέχοντες θα κληθούν να φέρουν απλά αντικείμενα και υλικά από κατάλογο που θα δοθεί πριν από το εργαστήριο.

Ο Gavin Glover ήταν ιδρυτικό μέλος του Faulty Optic Theatre of Animation, μιας κορυφαίας ομάδας οπτικού θεάτρου και κουκλοθεάτρου που έκανε περιοδείες με τις σουρεαλιστικές και σκοτεινές παραστάσεις τους σε όλο το Ηνωμένο Βασίλειο και την Ευρώπη για πάνω από 20 χρόνια.
Ο Gavin πειραματίστηκε με απλές τεχνικές βίντεο και προβολής για να ταξιδέψει το κοινό σε εξαιρετικά μικροσκοπικούς κινηματογραφικούς κόσμους.
Πρόσφατα έχει αναπτύξει αυτές τις τεχνικές ώστε να μπορεί να τις μοιραστεί με άλλους συμμετέχοντες σε ένα εργαστήριο το οποίο ονομάζει Micro Cinema Theater.

The Workshop

By using tiny video cameras we can explore objects and space and even use the human body to discover a new type micro cinema.
Combine these discoveries with the more traditional forms of performance and we can create 'Micro Cinema Theatre'
During this practical workshop we will use a number of simple narrative scenarios as a dramatic structure to work from. We will improvise performance and most importantly find ways to share the screen with the actors on stage.
We will explore hidden movements and unlock tiny details that are normally lost in a theatre space. We will play with scale, focus and light and explore 2 and 3 dimensional worlds and discover which materials and movements work best for the story we are trying to tell.
We will NOT be using a computer. We will use low tech and accessible principles and never allow the technology to dominate the stage.
Participants will be asked to bring objects and materials and a list will be provided before the workshop.

Gavin Glover was a founder member of Faulty Optic Theatre of Animation a leading visual theatre

and puppet company who toured their surreal and dark shows throughout the UK and Europe for over 20 years. Gavin has experimented with simple video techniques and projections to take audiences on journeys to extraordinary miniature cinematic worlds. Recently he has developed these ideas to share with other practitioners in a workshop which he calls Micro Cinema Theatre

Χρόνια μας πολλά! Σήμερα γιορτάζουμε την Παγκόσμια Ημέρα Κουκλοθεάτρου!

Μήνυμα του Ελληνικού Κέντρου Κουκλοθεάτρου για τα 90 χρόνια Unima

Σήμερα οι κούκλες όλου του κόσμου γιορτάζουν. Γιατί; 

Γιατί κατάφεραν να συντροφέψουν τον άνθρωπο στα δύσκολα 

εδώ και τουλάχιστον 25 χιλιάδες χρόνια.

Γιατί, παρά τις αντίξοες συνθήκες,

παραμένουν μαγικές και τρομακτικές και γελοίες.

Γιορτάζουμε κι εμείς οι κουκλοπαίκτες μαζί τους, 

γιατί, παρόλο που ο κόσμος έγινε πραγματιστής,

η οικογένειά μας παραμένει επαρκώς τρελή, 

αφελής και γελοία.

Φέτος η UNIMA, η Διεθνής Ένωση Κουκλοθεάτρου, κλείνει τα 90!

Ο πιο παλιός διεθνής θεατρικός οργανισμός! 

Γεννήθηκε το 1929 στην Πράγα, κι από τότε 

πασχίζει να συδαυλίσει το αυτονόητο:

την επικοινωνία, την αλληλοβοήθεια και την δημιουργική συνύπαρξη.

Ευτυχώς οι κούκλες μας μας ξεπερνούν! Γιατί;

Γιατί είστε εσείς οι θεατές, οι πιστοί, οι φίλοι

που τους δίνετε ζωή, και μας αναγκάζετε να μην παίρνουμε ανάσα.

                   INTERNATIONAL MESSAGE OF DADI PUDUMJEE – 21ST MARCH 2019 

My dear fellow puppeteers, UNIMA members and esteemed colleagues present with us today from all over the world – my heartfelt welcome to all!

When I was requested to write the UNIMA world puppet day message for 2019, I was moved beyond words, for it is a great honour and privilege to address all of you in the 90th anniversary year of this great organisation of ours – Union International de la Marionette -UNIMA.

I am proud to share that we are the oldest international puppet theatre organization in the world. Tradition, talent, imagination and hard work: these are the solid pillars supporting UNIMA – as we proudly look back on our history and legacy. Our founding members and the many that have carried on their visionary work – these are the individuals who have shaped the world of puppetry. Some are with us today, others are in our memories, yet their ideals, values, artistic legacy, and above all empathy, lives on through our more than 90 national centers and representatives all over the world.

Since its very beginning, UNIMA has been known as a platform to nurture, support, exchange and share creative ideas, thoughts and work. In this 90th year of UNIMA, our commitment must be to the new and coming generations of young puppeteers – both traditional and modern who create the most beautiful essence of their imagination, creativity and commentary. We are now on the bridge, if I may say so, carrying the baggage of previous generations, reinventing ourselves, and looking into a bright and positive future.

We live today in an age of technology and change that brings huge opportunities to puppetry and UNIMA – to engage with new audiences, to use puppets in ways that tell stories more vividly, and to create and come up with new models of distribution and platforms to display our work.

Often I have heard people say but why UNIMA – to this I can say UNIMA is a global family with Human Re- sources available worldwide – that is what makes the organization what it is and defines what it stands for. We have a huge voluntary army of individuals across the world, who are always ready to help and nurture all talent.

What is it that attracts us so to this form, that we ourselves give life to? Is it the inanimate becoming animate, and thus being able to say a thousand words, in a way no human actor may be able to, or have license to do so, or is it that we see ourselves as creators manipulating our subjects? Whatever be the case, puppets the world over have been expressing, playing, fighting, loving and linking our many past memories to our present. We are teaching a new generation that we must hold on to our past values and traditions while being steadfastly open to new ideas.

Let us celebrate then this love not only for the art of puppetry, but above all to try to understand the differences that exist between nations and cultures, which need to be brought closer and wiped away, with a celebration of this kind today. This organization and art form allows us to promote the noblest human values such as peace and mutual understanding between people regardless of their origin, political or religious convictions and differences in culture, in accordance with the respect for fundamental human rights as defined in the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Present in more than 90 countries, UNIMA is a platform to exchange and to share between people who practice puppetry, research, history and who are passionate about this art form.

On World Puppet Day – I am delighted to see that as an organization we have reached so many people and so many communities worldwide, particularly in disadvantaged areas for whom the opportunity to experience puppet theatre would have otherwise been non-existent. It is an honor and a privilege to work with all of you as President of UNIMA. Throughout my travels and associations as President, I have encountered a great feeling of togetherness amongst puppeteers around the world; there is a flame in all of you, that keeps us going no matter what the situation; and there is always a smile when we meet each other and exchange thoughts and ideas. I have been able to cultivate great friendships and build a wonderful family across the world, and that is what will stay with me for the rest of my days.

Παγκόσμια Ημέρα Κουκλοθεάτρου 2019

Η 21η Μαρτίου έχει οριστεί ως η Παγκόσμια Ημέρα Κουκλοθεάτρου και ο εορτασμός της απλώνεται παντού στο μικρό πλανήτη μας.

Κάθε χρόνο, το Ελληνικό Κέντρο Κουκλοθεάτρου – Unima Ελλάς διοργανώνει μια ανοιχτή συλλογική γιορτή  για να μοιραστεί την αγάπη για την τέχνη του και να επικοινωνήσει ότι το κουκλοθέατρο ανθίζει και σκορπά απλόχερα φαντασία, σκέψη και γέλιο σε μικρούς και μεγάλους!

Κρατώντας κομμάτια από την παράδοση της τέχνης μας, στόχος μας είναι να ταξιδεύουμε το κουκλοθέατρο σε διαφορετικές περιοχές, ώστε να έχουν όλοι πρόσβαση σε αυτό.

Αυτή τη χρονιά, μας φιλοξενεί ο Δήμος Ζωγράφου στον Πολυχώρο "Ρυθμό", για να πραγματοποιήσουμε τη γιορτή μας και να γεμίσουμε χαρά και ζωντάνια ακόμη μια όμορφη συνοικία της Αθήνας.

Σας προσκαλούμε την Κυριακή 17 Μαρτίου, από τις 12 το πρωί μέχρι τις 8 το βράδυ, στον Πολυχώρο "Ρυθμό" του Δήμου Ζωγράφου, σε μια ημέρα αφιερωμένη στο κουκλοθέατρο, γεμάτη παραστάσεις, δράσεις και δρώμενα, παιδικά εργαστήρια κατασκευής και εμψύχωσης κούκλας, κυνήγι θησαυρού, εργαστήρια ενηλίκων, χορούς από όλο τον κόσμο, μαγικά και μουσική.
